Crimson Cloak Illustrations

So here are some illustrations that I am currently working on for one of my portfolio classes. We need to create a 30 second story that emphasizes our strengths for our final demo reel. Ultimately this piece will be like a motion comic, with moving illustrations. These are my illustrations thus far, although they are just character shots for right now. The backgrounds will come later on, probably next quarter but for now this is what I have. Hope you enjoy and I'll go into detail with the story later on in future posts. Cheers!

The Creature From The Black Lagoon Turntable

Here's a turntable which I just created of my recent sculpture in ZBrush. Hope you enjoy!

Elf Rider

Here's a piece that I finished up in April of 2010 and simply have been too busy until now to upload it. I actually sold a print of this at Star Fest Denver 2010 (last month) and it even won first place in their Fantasy Art Category so I was pretty happy! Overall this picture took about 32 hours to complete and created entirely in Photoshop CS4. Enjoy!

The Creature From The Black Lagoon: ZBrush Sculpt

Here's a piece I just completed in ZBrush, my 3rd time sculpting in ZBrush and my first full body. This is a re-imagining of The Creature From The Black Lagoon and a duel project for both my Digital Sculpting and Production Team classes. Also it was sculpted entirely from ZSpheres, as I am a terrible traditional box/polygonal modeler.
I'm definitely looking forward to doing more digital sculpting and using it as a way to showcase concepts. I definitely learned alot from this project and intend to go about things differently in the future, especially in regards to the use of subtools and ZSpheres. Hope you enjoy!
