This was the second picture which I painted entirely in gray scale and then colored. While that has some great advantages I think that I prefer just coloring from the bottom up.
As far as the character herself she's part human and part bloodelf (hence the shorter ears), created in the vein of World of Warcraft and a pirate at that. There's more to her but I'll keep the details to myself for now
